The European Community states that the name “Prosciutto di Montagnana” defines a ham worked and aged at least 12 months in the production area of the town of Montagnana.

These products are marked D.O.P., a brand protected by the Consorzio Prosciutto Berico-Euganeo, which is based in the historic town in the province of Padua, depicted by the Winged Lion of St. Marco.
